A few shattered table pieces and a word suspension were the beginning of it all. I was at a loss for ideas when I was instructed to create an artefact out of an unused piece of furniture. However, I soon began lying around with my furnishings. I had a standard table as furniture. There were no unique designs or patterns on it. After tearing it apart, all I had left were some simple laminated wooden boards and some screws. We were instructed to weave a tale using our artefact and wymering. Thus, my thoughts turned to our trips to Wymering.

The various unexpected objects, such as the cradle, the antique furniture, the musical instruments, and the variations in the amount of daylighting around the house, were some of the things that drew my attention. And as a result, we were able to perceive the objects' shadows at various depths. I then began to consider how I could relate these to my object. I therefore chose the terms "shadow," "light," and "cradle" as my three main verbs and "cut," "suspend," and "swing" as my three essential words for my artifact's topic.I became totally engrossed in the procedure, which involved cutting square blocks, cutting a rectangle piece to create a platform, and creating a frame for the square blocks to be hung. While I was thrilled, I was also concerned about the final result.

The model's construction moved from the cut components into a platform with a framework. I began hanging the square blocks at varying levels within the frames. I hung the square blocks using twine made of fish net. The whole point of using the fish net to hang it was to give the hanging square blocks the appearance of being invisible. Similar to the forgotten tales of Wymering. One sort of twine that is both incredibly strong and thin is called fish net. It is transparent.
One of the hardest parts was tying the square blocks in various levels. I attempted to attach an adjustable knot so that moving the knot up and down would produce movement while attempting to secure the square blocks on the screws. The square blocks linked in various levels had shadows with varying depths, much like the shadows of the objects that were in wymering.

One of my favourite things from Wymering was a cradle that was stored in a room. Wymering had a tonne of dolls, and the cradle in one of the rooms created the impression that "once it was a house filled with laughter and cute smiles of babies.Fixing arch shaped pieces on two opposite ends of my artefact completed my concept " THE SUSPENDED CRADLE".

Even though Wymering Manor is well-known for being a haunted home, I think it has a lot of architectural significance and a rhythm all its own. A rhythm of love.

    1. "In Praise of Shadows" is a long essay by Tanizaki is the artist im reffering. I would like to preserve wymering as i don't want to loose it's original essence. So reading this book is helping me to relate my idea of preserving wymering for the future.
